About Me

Education
I attended the University of Missouri-Columbia to earn my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I earned my master's degree with emphasis in English As A Second Language at Webster University.  I am currently working on my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration at Maryville University.

Teaching Career

I joined the Ladue School District in the fall of 1999.  I taught general education at Spoede Elementary for fourteen years before moving to the Fifth Grade Center when it opened in the fall of 2013.  Since then, I have also taught at Old Bonhomme and Conway.  I am now teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) at Ladue Middle School.  This is my sixth year teaching ESL and my first year as Ladue's ESL Department Coordinator.

Beyond The Classroom

-I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle.  Rock climbing, boxing, skateboarding, and participating in running events or triathlons are a few of my favorite hobbies.
-Nature plays a key role in my active lifestyle.  During the summer, I can often be found hiking through remote deserts or mountain ranges with my dad.  I enjoy spending time in our national parks, relaxing on the beach, and being outside as much as possible.
-I am blessed to have had the opportunity to travel to many places in the world with my family.  Some of my favorite places I have visited are Ireland, Italy, England, France, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
-My family and friends mean everything to me.  I am grateful for every moment I get to spend with the special people in my life.
